I am the owner, the receptionist, the website editor, one of the massage therapists, and all the other tasks that are associated with making this studio run as smoothly as we can.

My background is largely prenatal massage. I served Omaha as a birth doula for 15 years and enjoyed teaching hypnosis for childbirth classes as well. I have traveled all over the US attending trainings by recognized instructors and bring that knowledge and expertise to our prenatal clients here at the studio. I have high expectations for our therapists working with this population, we take our education and client safety seriously.

One of my favorite long-term clients once told me, “I believe you could calm the devil himself”.
It’s a great privilege to have people feel safe enough in your presence to completely let go and trust you while on the table.
In addition to practicing massage therapy, I am an energy practitioner who is known for my slow, rhythmic connection to my clients bodies.

My massage background is full of colorful energy techniques. My energy foundation is Reiki, combining Traditional Chinese Medicine practices of meridian, element and point holdings into a massage routine.

Clients have stated my hands are like hot stones. Others have told me it’s like I can massage their soul with my energy work. I also have a client tell me he does not feel like the same person and felt more put together after our sessions.
Nathan is our resident artist and his sessions have an artistic rhythm that only a professionally trained dancer can provide. He is the master of slow flowing, intentional work and holding space for your personal healing.

Why did you get into massage therapy?
I didn't choose massage, massage chose me. Like Beyoncé, I woke up like this.

If you were a woodland animal, which would you pick?
My woodland creature is also my totem animal, the black bear. In touch with the earth, the cycles of nature, inspiring and courageous, moves with intention and awareness, and a powerful guide to support physical and emotional healing.

If you were a song?
Beastie Boys- Slow and Low. It’s fitting for the slow, intentional pacing of my sessions.

If you were a tree?
When holding space for clients or others I am a great oak. Spreading my long, strong, limbs over top of others protecting all beings. Bringing shade, shelter, and security to all that rest under my bough and climb my branches to adventure, challenge fear and dare to imagine. When I am not holding space for others I am a field of wildflowers, full of bees, butterflies, garden spiders, snakes, and all that thrive in earth's gifts. From the soil that surrounds me, the roots and all the beauty around; even the rains that bring rainbows and the bright scent of grass and renewal.
I specialize in prenatal, postpartum, and sports massage. I am passionate about helping my clients get to the root of their issues.

I love to use a variety of techniques in every session based on client goals. I also provide suggestions for stretches and home exercises to help you maintain comfort between appointments.

The best compliment I have received from a client is that they didn't even need to tell me where their discomfort was in their body, I was able to find it on my own. I love being a problem solver!
Kathy is our newest arrival to the studio, bringing over 14 years of experience with her.
She is known for pain relief and TMJ sessions. More information to come!

My specialty as a licensed massage therapist is prenatal, deep tissue, and reflexology.

I think the human body is incredible and you only get one, so you should take the time to care for it. As much as I love eastern medicine and healing through massage therapy, I am working towards becoming a registered nurse to continue my passion which is caring for people.

Two of the most common compliments from my clients are how warm my hands are and how slow and relaxing my deep tissue techniques are.
Mischke (Mish-Key) is our one-member security team who is often found napping on the job. She is pure pandemic puppy hailing from the Nebraska Humane Society.

Affectionately known as Mitch, she currently has a 28-word vocabulary with the Fluent Pet talking system. Next up, she is learning to chase RC cars without destroying them.
You can catch her in the studio most weekdays and check out her talking videos in our Instagram reels! #thetaomaha
